Hormone Infused Chewing Gum Could Suppress Appetite
When it comes to weight loss, a person’s best efforts may be undermined by their own appetite. In response to this situation researchers are working on a system to trick the body into thinking that it is “full”. This system is based on the fact that the human body releases a hormone into the bloodstream, after eating, that conveys a message to the brain indicating that the person is “full”.
Due to the power of the human digestive system, an IV was the only truly effective delivery method that scientists had at their disposal. However, a recent study conducted at Syracuse University has led scientists to believe that they can now administer this hormone orally. This means that the hormone could potentially be included in gum or even vitamin supplements.
Stay tuned for more updates on this study.
