Frequently Asked Questions
How many calories should I eat?
This is not an easy question to answer simply because everyone's nutritional needs are going to be different. It's very important not to drop your caloric intake too quickly. We do not recommend lowering your daily calories past the Extreme Fat Loss level. Low calorie diets are known to cause constipation and increase risks for gallbladder disease. Eating low calorie is simply not good for you.
What is Basal Metabolic Rate mean and why aren't there any calorie recommendations for Extreme Fat Loss or Fat Loss?
Since we use energy in everything we do, even sleeping, your basal metabolic rate is the amount of calories you would burn if you stayed in a bed all day (i.e. no activity at all). As a result, fat loss or extreme fat loss is not an option.
What is the 7 day calorie cycle (zig-zag)
As your diet becomes routine, your body does its job and adapts to the foods you eat to make better use of the calories. This is one of the culprits responsible for weight loss plateaus The 7 day calorie cycle is designed to give the same amount of calories per week but alters the daily calorie count (in an attempt to shock the body out of its routine).
