Frequently Asked Questions

What is a calorie deficit?

The calorie deficit is the amount of calories you are willing to reduce to promote weight loss. Cutting 500 calories a day can result in 1lb a week in weight loss.

Why can't I enter over 1,000 calories for the daily calorie deficit?

The recommended average weight loss (according to the American Dietetic Association) is 1lb a week. One of the main reasons for discouraging rapid weight loss is that it promotes yo-yo dieting. You didn't gain the weight overnight so the best approach is to take your time and do it right.
